We just caught wind of this online event and it sounds like a great time!
Here's the gist of it:
Arlo's Group W Sessions Episode #2 premieres January17th!
1/3/20 UPDATE: ARLO GUTHRIE'S GROUP W BENCH SESSION #2 SHOW POSTPONED UNTIL JANUARY 17th. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we have to postpone tonight’s event. Everyone is safe, however with icy conditions we can’t get our crew in to facilitate the live feed. So hold on to your tickets and we’ll see you on January 17th, same time, same channel
Recorded over the summer in 2020, Arlo and his band got together (socially distant) at The Guthrie Center and recorded some material which ended up being a whole lot of fun! Tickets are now available at Performance Tonight.
Group W Bench Sessions
“Kid, I want you to go over and sit down on that bench that says Group W.”
Arlo at home this past summer (like the rest of us), got together with his band and recorded some sessions and collected archival videos. Some of the recordings are being referred to as the Group W Bench Sessions; a three part series named after the famous bench— the first session premieres Saturday, November 28th! Presented by Rising Son Records.

As a folksinger, I never really thought much about getting older. It seemed to me that I could just continue year after year, decade after decade, singing and playing as I had done for most of my life. As the years went by, it got more difficult to keep touring, but I did it, mostly because I’d been doing it my entire life. It was the life I knew and loved.
