Arlo Guthrie - "Lightning Bar Blues"

“Lightning Bar Blues” was written and released by Hoyt Axton on the album “Joy to the World” in 1971. A year later, Arlo would release his own version of the song on “Hobo’s Lullaby” in 1972. 

And speaking of Hoyt, we are thrilled to say that his son, Matt Axton, will be closing out the Guthrie Center’s 2025 Troubadour Concert Series along with his band Badmoon!
